St Vincents club members and our county board chairman Diarmuid Walsh at this evenings meeting
Exciting times lie ahead for the St Vincents GAA club in Luton as they are working to re-launch their underge teams in time for the 2019 season. After recent meetings the club committee have decided to invest in the long term future of the club.
The club PRO Stephen McKiernan had this to say on re-launching their youth teams:
“After a long absence, the Senior team has successfully returned and reestablished ourselves within the county Gaelic Football scene. Our long term vision is to secure & sustain the clubs future; therefore it’s important for the club to grow and nurture underage talent.
By introducing Gaelic football to the local community at a younger age we can ensure the club continues to thrive. We also hope that it will allow the sport to grow in Luton and open up this exciting game to a brand new audience.
Over 80% of our current senior team have come up through the previous underage set up within the club and we are looking forward to nurturing and harnessing the talent of future senior team members.”
More to follow in the coming weeks.
