Brilliant Numbers For Our Ever Expanding Annual Tournament
Our annual year 4/5 primary schools tournament was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed in St Albans last week.
For many of the children, it was their first taste of Gaelic games and the day saw plenty of opportunity for participation, with 350 students making 20 teams, playing 55 games across 5 different pitches.
Hertfordshire GAA would like to extend a special thanks to all those who made the day a success, including schools, teachers, parents and our own club coaching officers.
It was great to see so many youngsters embracing Gaelic games, the sportsmanship and teamwork across the event was of a very high standard and we hope that this will be the start of future participation in the GAA for those who attended.
Our primary school tournament has continued to grow throughout the last few years and we intend for further development in the years to come.
