St Alban's based footballers St Colmcille’s enjoyed a memorable weekend following a league double for both their senior men and Under 14 teams in their respective leagues.

St Joseph’s hosted the U14 League Blitz in Waltham Cross on Saturday afternoon, with a high standard of football and some impressive scores taking The Saints into the final. They ran out winners to a hardworking St Dympna’s side, who had narrowly pipped hosts St Joseph’s to a spot in the final earlier on in proceedings.

The triumph on Saturday afternoon was added to shortly after lunch time on Sunday, with a closely fought Senior Football League final resulting in Colmcille’s overturning a half time deficit to beat their visitors, Eire Og, by 1-06 to 0-06.
