Aogán Ó Fearghaíl attends Glen Rovers Pitch Opening
Saturday 13th May 2017 will live long in the memory for those at Watford based Glen Rovers as GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghaíl was joined by local deputy mayor Peter Taylor to unveil the club's newest development.
The opening of their new state of the art changing room and pitch facilities in Radlett Road saw Glen Rovers play host to clubs from across the county at varying age groups. Every player who featured was personally presented a medal by the President to commemorate the occasion.
The official opening was marked with a speech from both guests on the day, with Aogán Ó Fearghaíl commending Glen Rovers for their hard work in securing such a fantastic development for our county as well as complimenting the qualities of the new pitch.
On the pitch, matches were played from U6 right up to Senior Mens and Ladies, and the day concluded with our hurlers St Declan's competing in a Division 2 League match against Thomas McCurtains, unfortunately losing by 0-06 v 1-16.
Hertfordshire GAA would like to thank both Aogán Ó Fearghaíl & Peter Taylor for their attendance and congratulate Glen Rovers on their now up and running new facilities.
