Hertfordshire U14 Girls Feile Team, One Of Many Great Achievements This Year
Our volunteers have all played a big part in the success of Hertfordshire GAA this year and received awards at our recent celebration night. We would like to extend our thanks to all those whose great work continues to pay dividends across our county.
Frank Dillon (Eire Og)

For his dedication and commitment in getting underage football up and running in Oxford.

In recognition of their continued hard work at Eire Og, Oxford.
Matthew Feeney (St Colmcilles)
Nominated by Rory Norris (St Colmcilles), Rebecca Carroll Griffin & Stephen Lavery (Herts GAA).
An U14 who has an interest in coaching and has helped with training sessions at St Teresa's and Nicholas Breakspear schools. Matthew has also taken time out from school to come along to the Hertfordshire Primary Schools Blitz, the Hertfordshire Secondary Schools Blitz and the Primary school’s ABC's.
He's helped enormously with 1-1 training with kids who are struggling with their skills, getting training sessions ready and helping to pack up and running drills within small groups. He has assisted Rory Norris when at tournaments by helping with a huge amount of kids who are all at 1000 feet!
Not only that, he has also run out as a League winner with the U14's and has represented his school, Nicholas Breakspear at the secondary school’s ABC's.

Rory Norris (St Colmcilles)

For his continued hard work and dedication within the Colmcilles underage setup, as well as the running of the 2017 cul camp. Also for giving up his time to help promote gaelic games at Nicolas Breakspear and St Theresa schools – allowing the latter to compete at the annual primary school’s tournament and this year’s ABC’s.

For their outstanding dedication and hard work with the U14 & U16 girl’s teams at the club. Winning both the U14 & U16 All Britain titles at this year’s ABC. Which was a first for Hertfordshire. Also for their involvement with the first Hertfordshire U14 girls Feile Team.

For her continuous hard work in keeping the underage registration/memberships up to date. Also being part of the amazing fundraiser group, which organised a family fundraiser Day for Shay. Shay and his family are St Colmcilles GAC members. The event raised money to enable the family to reach their target to build a palliative care bedroom for Shay.

For his hard work with the Mini Rovers overall throughout the year, coaching the kids and helping them improve their skills of the game. Also as county under 16 manager Ciaran has set a high standard.

Marian has done a massive amount of work in getting the ladies team up and running this year at her club.

For the hours of work for his club, opening and closing the dressing rooms almost every night, putting up nets, keeping the pitch in top condition. No matter the job Sean will always put the club first.

Tommy achieved the double in 2017 as St Colmcille’s U14 team manager, winning both the Hertfordshire U14 league and Championship finals.

Paddy Colgan
Nominated by Rebecca Carroll-Griffin (Herts GAA).
Paddy has been Hertfordshire’s Feile coach driver for 8 years. But he is much more than our coach driver, he is also Rebecca’s right hand man when on the road, whether taking the ferry over or getting plane then coach. He has been our kit man, first aider and generally all-rounder. He has given up his family time/events to make the Feile weekends and for that we are truly grateful.
